Through her career Pam has gained a balance of both private and public sector experience across areas from financial accounting and financial management technical development and training through to strategic and management consultancy work including management development. She has also developed significant hands on management and leadership experience, together with a professional accountancy qualification.  She is an experienced and trained facilitator.

Pam started her working life with Cumbria County Council and trained as CIPFA qualified accountant. She then moved to lecturing and training on professional financial accounting and financial management courses for CIPFA. With CIPFA she moved to a national and international technical financial accounting role developing national guidance and developing relevant training and support for organisations across the public sector. She acted as technical advisor to the UK Board member on the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) public sector accounting Board. 
She then moved to a consultancy role working on PFI/PP projects and then for five years worked as a principal consultant for Zurich financial services. As a key member of the senior management team she has helped develop the public sector risk management department into a successful business unit. She provided strategic consultancy support to many public sector organisations. The consultancy support has included strategic risk management, project management, procurement and partnership development assignments, alongside skills and knowledge training programmes. She is PRINCE2 qualified.

Most recently she has started her own business undertaking a broad range of projects for both private and public sector clients.  In particular, she is working with IPF to develop financial accounting and financial management training and support through an advisory network to clients. She is also involved in management development programmes and is an accredited Strengths Deployment Inventory trainer and facilitator.
Pam is known for her friendly and professional approach. She is described as enthusiastic and energetic and has an ability to make dry subjects interesting. Pam also has a key skill of analysing information and situations effectively to ensure that the outcomes set by the course/ project are achieved to meet everyone’s individual needs. Clients have commented that her professionalism and skill at understanding issues and presenting them in a logical and objective manner is outstanding.
